Specifically I want to know anyones opinions, theories, or even facts about how a strictly Vegan diet can affect HRT results.

I meant to ask my doctor but it slipped my mind and i wont see her for three more months.

I don't know, but IMO I don't think that STRICTLY vegan diets are good for anybody.  Lots of veggies and fruits are excellent of course and there are other sources of protein rather than meat.  You need grains in your diet too, and dairy products are generally very nutritious keeping it in mind to buy low fat.

But I bet that a lot of fruits and veggies would help with hrt:  the healthier you are, the better hrt could potentially be...fruits and veggies are crucial to good health.

I've been strictly vegan for over a year and a half now and I've never been healthier. I don't take supplements either. I work at a vegan restaurant and therefore have learned lots of things I can cook cook. Anyone can go vegan and be on great health. You just have to eat right

I have thought about trying a total vegan diet more than once.  I just don't know enough of the things I could make when it comes to veggies; I don't want to eat salads all the time.  What sorts of things do you have at the vegan restaurant?

As far as a strictly vegan diet for better hrt results, I just don't know.  I guess it would depend on whether or not there would be sufficient "stuff" in the veggies to help a person grow?

The way I look at it is this:  If a girl just pre-puberty were to eat a strictly vegan diet and continued that diet through puberty and still developed normally, than yes.  It at least would not hamper hrt.  Would it enhance hrt though, I don't see why it wouldn't but also wouldn't be surprised if it did not.

An interesting topic though, and one that I will be asking my doctor about this Tuesday.

I've just been thinking how I eat very little fats and I guess I just feel I'm not gonna get much breast growth. But I'm really interested in knowing what your doctor has to say. Since I forgot to ask mine

Instead of veggie burgers eat nut burgers. With veggies on the side. Also tempeh is a really versatile option that can be cooked many ways. So is seitan. There's a vegan recipe for just about anything out there haha. Just google it and start cooking

Hmmm...I'm definately going to have to look into that.  Nut burgers, eh?  Sounds interesting.

But yeah, for sure I will ask my DR. about the vegan diet and if it would affect breast growth or anything else.  I want to grow breasts too, so yeah.  When I get back from my appointment I will post here and tell you what she said.

Also, I start hrt on Tuesday!  Yippeeeeee!!   :)

diets are limited by what they are to achieve, cut out the non food sure but the best way to go about what to eat is to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.

When i started hormones i had no weight to me the estrogen had me craving fatty rich dense calories and the weight went to the right placces. aso made me tired and weak so i rested alot, just do what your body wants.

Lol
the last time I was on hrt, I listened to my body and ended up eating dill pickle, peanut butter and chocolate whipping cream together.   ;D

But yeah, I hear what you're saying.  I really don't think it would be a good idea to get too little calories and next to no fat.  Will be asking my Dr. All about diet

Ekuryua:

Okay, so I discussed diet with my very awesome Dr. today, and she didn't have a lot to say about it.   This is what she said when asked if a strictly vegan diet would be good for hrt.  "It won't make a difference.  It won't do wonders to make the hormones work any better, but it certainly won't have a detrimental effect either.   What it will do is make you very healthy."

So there you have it, straight from my Dr.'s mouth.  Lol

As for me?  Much more veggies and fruit will be added to my diet, the rest will stay the same.

You get out what you put in. Vegan, omnivore, pescatarian, doesn't matter. Just eat healthy (get all the nutriants you need, the correct caloric intake, and enjoy it)

Grains and dairy aren't good for you.
