Is 5 months a lot?

Ok, I want to begin transition during my senior year of high school and I'll start HRT in late January. The school year ends in late June and I just wanted to know if those 5 months would be enough to notice significant changes. I don't want to come out to the student body, but I would come out to some of my favorite teachers (who I will visit at school after I graduate).

I'm MTF, by the way.

For me? Yah, they were. I had a really feminine template to begin with anyway though. The thing is, no one who you see day to day will notice in just 5 months.
I can see me
I can see you
Are you me?
Or am I you?

Well, you started on anti-androgens when you were 12, right? No offense to your effort, but I'm just a bit older than that (Ok, a lot older). Ok, to give future posters perspective, I am a 5',9'', 145 pound gymnast with muscles that LOOK really big because of my lean body and narrow waist.

By the way, Ave, I love your new picture.

lol not 12, 15 but yeah, I guses my puberty didn't really "happen".

You're not that much bigger than me! I;m 5'8 115. Although the muscles thing could be a hindrance. How do you build so much muscle though? I'm squishiness and bones here.

thanks ^-^

Oh, my bad, I was using the number pad and 2 is right under 5.

To answer your question, I started with basic callisthenics. Pushups, pullups, squats, etc. Then I started doing them with a weighted vest to get a strength base. I progressed to advanced body movement exercises like planche pushups, handstand pushups, front lever pullups, one-arm chin-ups, one-arm pushups, one-legged squats (weighted, jumping), glute-ham raises, and static ring positions like an iron cross.

I also bike ride a lot and do hill sprints (you can get a workout done in 15 minutes and it strengthens your heart more than jogging). I really don't like jogging because it is so boring. My heart beats every second of every day, so it already has endurance. I do hill sprints to STRENGTHEN my heart.

You can look up the progression and names yourself, because explaining all of these exercises would take for space than can fit on a post. I would recommend starting from the beginning and not jumping ahead to more advanced exercises. Your muscles may be able to pull them off, but you need to give your joints time to adapt (joint safety if why I go with bodyweight exercises). I recommend "Building the gymnastic body" by Coach Christopher Sommer. You only need paralletes (can make them with PVC pipe), a pullup bar, and rings. (Weight vest is optional). I enjoy a minimalist approach to training.  :)

For flexibility, I perform vinyasa yoga. It feels so good!! (And now I can do a split)

I know; I'm crazy, but I need to be active if I want to become a firefighter one day.  :)

Wow, that was a mouthful. Now back to the original topic, future posters.

Also, testosterone, good food, and rest help.
