Did HRT stop the hair loss for you?

I'm pushing 50 and I had a large and growing hairless patch on the back of my head just like dear old dad has. HRT seems to have halted the hair loss and some of the bald patch has reforested but not enough to grow it out nice and long like i had it at 19 It's wigs for me from now on.

No sign of MPB after 18 years HRT. I do have some general female thinning, but I've started iron supplements because my iron levels were quite low, in the range where hair loss starts occurring.

Ok, first side effect, itchy scalp. From what info I could gather:

its usually the first sign that comes with finasteride. Whats happening is your hair is startin regrowth in some areas, and the itching is hair follicles pushing thru the scalp. At first, you may see some hair fall out, very little, but thats the new hair follicles pushin out the old. Just keep an eye on it.

Only in the crown, which is not the worst part, but.... Yay?

You know what I was freaking out on just spiro that my hair was falling out even worst.  But over time I had more hair growth and it seemed to just stop.  I mean I loose many hairs every day but it seems natural now and not as scary.  This was over the period of 5-6 months.

Now I know it was the hair pushing other hair out xD  My doctor offered to put me on the other medication for T blocking when I was concerned but I was like no no, spirol is working so lets s tick with it xD.

Before I started HRT. My hairline was pretty good for the most part. I had two little Vs on each side of my head where my hair line went back a little further. The one side has completely grown in. You can't tell anymore and the other side is getting closer.
