Hi gals,

I hope nobody laughs at me. But I am concerned about a transgal friend of mine who is going to Thailand for SRS. She actually won't be home til November I think. Yeah I think I like her a lot, but don't think she is aware of this yet.

I think I'm missing something, what is you're feeling concerned about?

In a word, yes. They have some of the best surgeons for this in the world.

Thanks folks. Awhile ago someone posted quite a scary story about their experiences-- the person who posted is fine, and it may have just been a communication issue.(?)

I had SRS there Aug 2. Mind = blown great experience. I can only vouch for my surgeon (suporn); Dr Chettawut (I visited him a few months before August, tho I didn't end up picking him) seemed very professional and nice as well. I was reading that horror story of the girl going to Pichet while I was in the hospital/recovery, but as long as your friend isn't going to him, she should be fine.
Blessings,

D

Yes, Mandy is doing quite well now, but it was somewhat (ok, a LOT) "iffy" for awhile...

She is doing her post-op routine, working, doesn't need the cushion anymore...all things considered, her transition seems to have turned out better than we expected.

Still--DON'T GO TO PICHET!
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

even if the surgeon is good, any surgury can bring complications.  So the worry is really sweet  ;D

I don't know who she is seeing, but it might be Suporn, sounds like a very intensive setting which covers about everything maybe even hotel etc. I didn't ask re: surgeon as it seemed too personal.

Anyway glad you'all think it's sweet.  ;)
