I went to my appointment with my therapist she was telling me that the first time I met her , she looked twice, she had already thought I looked like a girl and sounded like one, she told me there has to be something with the hormones during pregnancy or when I was going through puberty because my face is to feminine , and my voice is very high (which is true , always got asked if I was a boy or girl during school because of it, and can go higher pitched then any girl chipmunk style).I have a noticeable Adams apple but my voice still can not go deep when I try, I choke.

She told me my eye brows are amazingly shaped naturally , she told me girls would kill for my legs and ankles , she told me where to get nice big shoes that will help me pass. I mean she had some comments that I don't like either, broad shoulders/little hips and hands that might give me away. So she did tell me the truth on the flaws , but its reassuring to know what my flaws are to as that can make me work on them a bit more then other areas.

She said parents are blind to their children, but she was incredible angry no one helped me (teachers , coaches, people around me, psychologists) , my past is very obvious that I am a girl , I went to a psychologist when i was 17, and had a collage drawn the biggest picture in that photo was a girl with a very very masculine face , I was diagnosed with social anxiety.  I think she was way more angry then me.

So I'm wondering has anyone experienced a psychologist that is over happily that you are transitioning? Maybe they do this for money reasons to keep ya coming back but I feel maybe mine is genuine, the clinic here is full at the moment and I'd have to wait for next year, she got me in a back way to see someone , she literally called up a ton of places to fast forward it and told the doctor to prescribe me blockers. I think I got very lucky with her , she always uses the proper pronouns, never once has slipped up. It's like shes just as excited to transition as me.

I have a very similar therapist and past. I was often mis-genered as female growing up and always had a very high voice and long hair. I got sick of the Michael Jackson and Mike Tyson voice jokes growing up in school. Yeah, I have a high, fem voice. Always have. Parents are for the most part blind to some very obvious things, when looking back, you can't believe they never picked up on them. It happens. My therapist was shocked to find out on my first visit that I hadn't had any surgery, hormones, or anything as I had been living FT 24/7 as a female for about 3 years prior to therapy and HRT. I see plenty of cis-genered males often that could easily pass as female. We're out there. :) The good thing is that you have a therapist who supports you and won't try to deter you or make this process more difficult than it already is. The enthusiasm might seem fake or appear to have an ulterior motive (maybe we are just being too cynical?) but after some of the therapy horror stories and difficulties I've read about, I'd much rather have a "positive-cheerleader type" therapist myself vs. the negative.
