Hi guys, I haven't be around for a while, but I hope everyone is doing well. School has been keeping me busy. Just the other day I confirmed the date of my surgery and I couldn't be more excite, a little scared too. It's so close and yet it seems so far still. I'll be going to Montreal in 2013 for surgery on the 4th of February. :)

One door closes and another opens to an entirely new journey.

Good luck

Congratulations!

How long of a journey? From start to (expected) finish?

Well, in some ways, it's been 35 years. I mean honestly, deep down inside, I always knew in my heart of hearts. Despite the fact it took soon many years to arrive at the realization, I always experimented with clothing, makeup, etc. I finally came to acceptance in 2009, started living p/t in the fall, including having started electrolysis, and growing my hair out. On June 1st 2010, i showed up to work, rather unexpectedly by everyone (got tired of waiting on the management) and thus began my f/t transition. So from start to finish, 3 1/2 years. Not that long compared to some people, or many perhaps, and it has gone by pretty quick now that I look back on it. But it always seemed long as I was going along.

Can you see the difference? The photo on the left is me before HRT at the beginning of my p/t transition. The photo on the right is more recent. It was taken in August of this year.

Looks good! 3 1/2 years isn't too bad, methinks. I went FT 12 June 2012, so the clock is ticking...(it always is, darnit...need to get a digital)

How'd you get the jaw to change shape? (It looks narrower near the molars)

Oh I've had nothing done at all except electrolysis, which I still need to finish...
