Australians will be well aware of the sad case of Jill Meagher. A young woman who was raped and murdered last week in Melbourne. The case has been particularly touching as Jill was a member of the radio media and well liked. She walked home, some 500 metres, after Friday night drinks at a hotel. A predator took her, it wasn't late and she wasn't drunk, it was an evil person who was out to prey, he seemed to take her easily. They have arrested a person.

The reason I post is that the case has hit home to a lot of woman and people in general. You do not have to be doing anything to be a victim. Sadly we need to protect ourselves from these evil people, so take a taxi home, walk with  friend. Colleagues had offered to walk home with Jill but she refused, it's just 500 m, I'll be OK, my husband is waiting for me.

The evil person obviously had skill, there was no sign of violence, there was CCTV footage showing the man talking to her, just in passing. It was enough.

Valet Jill.

And people keep safe.
