Coming Out To Friends

Any suggestions when coming out as a FtM transgender to friends? I don't have really any female friends, all male for the most part. I see myself as a homosexual male, so I do have a boyfriend who is aware of the situation, along with 3 close friends, but I am wanting to actually come out to my friends in general. what do you guys think would be the best way to do this without completely making everyone uncomfortable? I was always seen as "one of the guys" so I think it wouldn't be anything unexpected, but I still have no Idea what to do or say. Tips?

Do you need to tell them?

Not suggesting you should keep it secret, but why do they need to know? If they notice you becoming more male, then they can ask. Otherwise, from where I'm sitting, it's really none of their business, no matter how good friends they are.

Silas, maybe start by asking them if they know what it means to be transgender. If they don't you can explain it to them and they'll start to realize you're talking about yourself. If they already do, that makes it easier, you can tell them about what it's like for you.

You know, that honestly sounds like my general style of communication the way it is. I think that this would be a pretty good approach. Ill start with closest people and try to see what they feel about it.

Yeah, I feel ya here, but I am just concerned about what to do/say due to the repetitive questioning over the years, and more as of late. I am just feeling that It has reached the point where I dont want to lie anymore when asked I guess is what I'm saying ya know?
