So for the past few months almost every call at work i've taken my voice has been read as male. i always pass IRL but i didn't think my voice alone passed that well. Every time a guy would say thanks man i would think oh maybe he said mam, but then i would think, theres no way cuz the way guys say thanks man is just completely different than the way thank you mam would sound. i also get sir'd on the phone all the time too. i had to call 911 today because there was a small fire at work, and even in my sort of panicked tone the dispatcher called me sir twice. ive been working on lowering my voice, and i guess it really is working. my t appt. is october 24th an i cannot wait, but until then, im finally somewhat comfortable with my voice.
