Wow! So for all of you who know me I have been posting on these forums ever since my surgery for 1 year 9 months now like a crazy girl about not feeling like myself ever since my surgery. I was so angry and let down because my brain fog grew so much worse, extreme anxiety for no reason, extreme fatigue, loss of female development...

And then this past summer it grew progressively worse until I could not tolerate certain foods anymore. In fact, anything acidic, sweet, not a complex carb, alcohol, etc made my brain fog and loss of female development worse! FINALLY I told my electrologist my symptoms and how everyone thinks I have depression and although I am experiencing depression, its not the CAUSE of all this but no one believes me! SO she told me I sounded exactly like her mom who had H Pylori. I said what's that? Apparently, its a bacteria you get from food poisoning that eats away your stomach lining and causes inflammation and can cause adrenal fatigue...which was me to the core!

And then I remembered...a week after my SRS I got the worst case of food poisoning I ever had in my life that left me sick for two weeks. However, I never put two and two together. I thought it was something hormonal this entire time that changed post SRS! So, I went to the school clinic two weeks ago and they ordered two tests for H pylori.

SURPRISE!!! Both tests came back positive! I was so happy I can't even explain! FINALLY I had the answer! So this past week I have been on antibiotics and things to treat it and from the first day, I could tell something felt different. Now, I am not fully recovered since my stomach needs to heal. HOWEVER, my brain fog is getting SOOO much better day by day! I know I won't be my full self until my inflammation response stops from my damaged stomach; however, the bacteria that was damaging it is finally gone! So now, I guess I just wait day by day for my stomach to heal itself yay :)

So, I just want to update you all on the outcome of all of this. I never gave up and finally I am on my path to success again! Thanks to you all for listening to me while I was going through this. I hope this helps any girls who go through what I went through. We usually are flying all over the world to different places for our surgery. This causes us to rely on a lot of foreign food, takeout, etc that may be undercooked. Our bodies are so vulnerable that H Pylori is very easily attained in that state, and H Pylori is an EXTREMELY COMMON disease. Research shows up to 20% of people in the US have it without realizing it until it gets super bad (like when I could no longer eat normally). We have it thinking its depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, adrenal dysfunction, etc. I highly encourage anyone who cannot find a reason for why they feel weird post op and remember getting sick with some sort of food poisoning near their surgery to go get tested for H Pylori. This treatment is changing my life.  Love you girls!! xoxoxo <3 :)

i didnt even think that could be what it was for u! I got tested for that aswell when I was having a tough time with my digestion but my situation was way different, manuka honey is really really good for that btw, it healed my stomach and it helps people with h pylori check it out! active 15+ or higher is the best form.

Thank you everybody so much for the support and prayers! I CANNOT tell you how much it helps me, and I am truly touched to have such caring sisters!

Update:

So I did the 2 week course of antibiotics and acid reducing medications (which I believe is the same as poisoning yourself considering how many pills I had to take a day) and I have to say everyday I feel better and better! I am NOT 100% recovered yet because it will take time for my ulcers to heal, but the cause of them (the H pylori) is now hopefully gone. I get retested for it in 5 weeks to see if it was eradicated after the first treatment. I was having unwanted hair growth post op so I went on spironolactone, but I have to come off it for a bit because it can delay ulcer healing. Actually, I can tell that my stomach feels much better since coming off the spironolactone. Ill go back on it though once this is over.

Already my confidence is better, my energy level is better, and I am much happier. My brain is coming back and I can remember things slowly. Also, the upper arm weakness I had for the longest time that made me feel like I had jello arms being weighed down is FINALLY gone!! It feels so nice!

So I will keep you all posted! Thanks for being there :) xoxo <3

Great news. Brain fog is a mongrel. Just stopped a med that was doing it to me.
