All of you have it wrong.

Chocolate is so full of antioxidants, you must consider it a form of medicine. ;D

That is how my partner and I handle it: "It's not a craving; it is a therapeutic need."  No guilt, plenty of destroyed free radicals.

Now that is a wonderful way of looking at it!

True, let's not advocate self medicating, and refrain from talking about dosages.

So if chocolate is a drug, I won't say how many pounds of chocolate I eat a year or where I obtain it. I will say though, that chocolate is just what the doctor ordered! That reminds me, I think I have a dose of Moonstruck dark chocolate with chili peppers that I should be taking instead of typing.

WHOA!  Peppers in chocolate?  NOOOOOOOOOOOO!  That sounds more like self-assassination!

That's how the Aztecs, inventors of chocolate, always ate their chocolate (and still do). There is a restaurant at the national museum in Mexico City that serves authentic Aztec dishes, including a chocolate based Mole Poblano that is to die for. The cousins of the Azteca family that run the restaurant in Mexico City run two of my favorite restaurants in the world, The Blue Iguana, and The Red Iguana, in Salt Lake City Utah.

Dark chocolate creates a burst of euphoria and energy when combined with capsicum, which dilates the capillaries and increases the absorption of the active ingredients (as well as setting you on delicious fire). Mmmm.

Food is the best form of self medicating

Eating very spicy food cleans out my body in more ways than one.
