Good online places for buying wigs, and which style to get?

Apples Mk.II

Good night.

As usual, body isstarting to get easy, but the head continues being a real mess. The only two local shops I have found that deal with wigs charge around 300-500€ for the simplest synthetic ones, so I was looking forward to finding something more decent online, at around 100-200€.

The thing is discovering what do I need. I need something that downplays an excessive manly, neandhertal-like face (You may say that it is not that bad, but you know, BDD and panic attacks every time I look at it for too long).

I think my face type is between oval and oblong (measured it would be oval if my headline was lower). It is narrow everywhere except for the protruding cheeckbones (I had two photos here with cheap crappy wigs: 1, 2). The problems? Let´s see, almost diagonal forehead with major brow bossing, normal chin, big nose and a long and muscular neck). Oh, and I wear a 58 size hat, so I guess it is quite a big head.

I have no clue on what hairstyles can help, only that it hast to be something with bangs to hide the forehead. I had my eyebrows waxed recently (not pictured), but I can go again to make them slimmer). With such a long neck, I think shoulder level would be ok, just to cover and downplay it.

So, any ideas?

Thanks.

It's always best to have one custom fitted at a wig shop.  But I have bought several human hair wigs on ebay.   I have had some really good luck and love some of the wigs I bought.  I have had a couple of disappointments as well though.

Thanks, but for the moment and until confidence is developed well enough, I wanted to stick with good quality synthetics. The biggest issue is that I don't know which style or whatever would fit me. I have used TAAZ for mapping the face and testing hair styles over it, but the main issues is that I have no clue on what hairstyles would fit me better, and looking too much at my face or taking photos to work with them causes me another anxiety attack (happened again on friday and I had to stick to the emergency pill), so I am afraid of starting looking for info again. I know that it is better to stick with monofilament wigs and not go more than two shades of my actual hair color, but the style... I am still a man on that: I have no clue on what suits me better.

So far and looking at this, I think I am more into the oblong now. Let's see what are the recommendations...

QuoteBest Choices:  Styles that are short or medium length will minimize the length of your face.  It is best to stay with styles that are shoulder length or shorter.  Layers add softness to the straight lines of your face.  Look for side parts, to minimize the geometric shape.  Soft wispy bangs will shorten the appearance of length.  Fullness at the sides will add width to the look of your face.
Avoid:   Long styles will make your face look even longer.  Too much height will lengthen your face.  Avoid center parts.

I wish I could understand this concepts... I don't know what layers mean, side parts, and center parts... The only thing clear for now is soft bangs.
