Back in Feb - March I had a orchi and it took about 4 months for the Spironolactone to fully leave my system after being on it for about ten years ( I know this cause my eyes werent dry all the time and needing rewetting drops for my contacts constantly and going though two small bottles a week, my endo also confermed it) along with the need to pee all the time after any liquid,
Now December my blader still want to releave its self not as frequently or when its completely full , is that a long term problem associated with spironolactone after being taken off it or does my blader muscles need retraining to hold it in till its full again,
All my blood work is fine and there is on infection I would as my endo but will not see him for another 3 months and thought you guys would have some info about this..
Another thing I was reading is your bladder may shrink but maybe not noticed till the Spiro is stopped.

Cheers Tracy

I don't know about Spiro but I have an additional question. Now you are not drinking as much water, are you allowing your urine to become a darker yellow? If so, the problem could be your urine is concentrated enough that it irritates your bladder long before it's full requiring it to be emptied early. Your urine should be clear or a pale yellow if you are taking in enough water. If you are dehydrated, it will take you several days for your bladder to calm down and start working properly after you get your fluid intake up.
