Hey all, I've been lurking a lot but I decided to post today because I've been worrying about something with my T. Will there be any adverse health effects if I seem to take late doses frequently? Frequently as in mm... not all the time, but every once in a while, and I've never forgotten for more than 36 hours. I was on injectable but it was not for me, so I'm going to gel. I think it's the time gap that drains my brain, but I'm getting to be worried about it. I don't want to be hurting myself by not taking stable doses.

Thanks! :)

Hi =]

You might be best asking your doctor but I don't think it would really affect your health. I no it's ok with injections to be a couple of days late sometimes. I'm not on gel though so I don't really know about that.

Hi wellcomposed, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 8792 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Generally a missed dose is not life threatening, but as always consul with your doctor.

Thanks for your help! I do feel a bit better now. I'm glad that one missed dose doesn't seem to do anything harmful, but what about multiple missed doses over time? Does anyone know?

I was about three days late with my second dose and... mostly, it was just irritability and other mood related things that happened to me. Wasn't very pleasant for me or those around me, but that is the worst of what could happen from missing it or being late on getting it. It won't kill you (well, unless you experience depression and suicidal tentencies which is entirely possible for some - if that happens, SEEK HELP).

However, after you have been on it for a few months... and THEN you start missing doses, you COULD start experiencing withdraws because your body will no longer be providing its own endogenous Testosterone at all. Like it or lump it, but this hormone IS classified as a narcotic for a reason and our bodies respond to its absence just the same as any other narcotic substance.

So best to not be messing around with missing them or being late consistently if you can help it. A couple of days is OK, but not longer than that unless you have absolutely no choice in the matter (which may well be the case for me after my next three doses as I'd lost my insurance and am still figuring out how to continue my T without breaking the bank... ugh).

It shouldn't have any adverse health effects, however, if you're forgetting for like 36 hours on a somewhat regular basis, chances are your gel isn't going to work as effectively over time, because your levels will be cumulatively lower.
