Hey everyone im not very good at this sort of thing but here goes im a 21 yo male from northern ireland trapped in a womans body. Would much appreciate some advice as to where to begin my transformation telling family, friends etc. I am very much looking forward to this long and am sure very hard journey and making some special friends along the way

Hello and welcome from another small island, Tasmania. 

There is a stack of information and support here, and a big family to back you up.  Things happen slowly so don't stress about things. 
I took the approach of treating GID as a medical problem when I came out to my family and didn't have any negative reactions, although my mum at 89 is still a little bemused by it all.  My father passed away many years ago.  If Gerry Adams and Ian Paisley can get along there is hope for us all.  (Dad was born in Belfast so I appreciate what was involved there).
