A SEX swap soldier who spent 25 years in the army as a man before finally becoming a woman says she's now happier than ever.

Ex-squaddie Jennine Jackson - who was born Russell - joined the macho military world aged just 16 in a bid to suppress her feelings.

As a member of the Queen's Lancashire Regiment, the 47-year-old served all over the world including Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq, Kenya and Oman.

During Russell's military career, he went through many hardships - including witnessing one of his colleagues being blown up in front of his eyes.

But throughout his time in the armed forces, the desire to become a woman never left him.

It seems that the Sun and Daily Mail are having a contest to see who can outdo sensationalizing in their transgender coverage  ::)

Putting these two items together is brilliant Zynthya. Those towm papres really have aligned themsleves against each other.  While I don't doubt the Mail will still attempt to maintain its rather haughty aire, the comparison is valid.

And Jennine looks lovely.

One of the few things I like about the Mail and Sun are their habit of printing reader's responses. While clearly a small section of society, they do indicate some lines of thinking. I have to say, even the few doubters are not that bad. That is always positive.
