Thankfully my family can't do crap like that to me because they'd starve. I'm the only one that can cook and I cook all the major holiday meals from scratch. You can't go back to canned and boxed crap after homemade gravy @_@! Regardless, I have nothing to worry about since my family respects me. Too bad I can't say the same about my extended family XP. Oh well, I have horrible secrets about them that will ruin their lives and reputations and I have no qualms on turning on them :'D.
Ok, back to you. Sorry about your sister ;_;. She's lucky you're a decent human being though. I would've just beat the crap out of her XP. I'm a violent person and a terrible human being though :'P. Other than punching her in the face, I have no advice to offer. I can only offer my sympathies. I still have hope for your niece though. Just because she sees her mom act like this, doesn't mean that she will. Just do your best on being her favorite uncle, and that should help her see as she grows that her mother is being unreasonably mean.
