I came out almost 3 years ago and at the time my parents didnt agree with it at all. But things are starting to get better!
From the start, I thought my dad was going to take it the worst but now he is actually taking it the best! He seems really excited and supportive about the whole thing. My mum is still coming around but she is doing much better than before.
I got a letter from my therapist to get the gender on my drivers license changed and in my next appointment, I should be getting my letter to start testosterone probably in February! 4 months ago, my dad came to my doctors appointment to make sure I wasnt getting any testosterone, and it was one of the worst days of my life. But now he is happy for me to be starting early next year. I thought they would never be able to accept me, but now they are
Also I met up with one of my old friends from primary school tonight. She had known me since I was 5 and she had not seen me since about 3 years ago. But she was amazing with everything! She introduced me to everyone with the right name all night and didnt even slip up on the pronouns once! I just feel so happy that someone can be so awesome
