avatar radio button non functional

Hi, guys,
I would like to use my own avatar but nothing happens when I press the radio button. Everything else seems to work in the profile section. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can either go to the Announcements forum and read the Post Ranks post, or you can go to the FAQ board and read the forum FAQs specifically the one that says It won't let me upload my avatar. It might just explain it.

I know the signature picture was intended as a joke, but I don't want to see it used on this forum again. We are a support site. There are people here ranging from minors to Wives who's husbands just came out to them and they are seeking support from other Significant others. It's the last thing they need, or want to see.  It's just inappropriate.

It would be really nice if somebody came up with a code modification so this displayed a message(or hid the control) for people with access to this feature disallowed.
