Hello everyone, long time lurker first time poster. My partner and I have been surfing various forums for information about doctors. And while there a number sites for transfolk to discuss stuff, susans seems the go-to place for the most reasonable conversations available and I'd like to start by thanking the community here for that.

I've been on HRT for some years and I say with a tinge of guilt that I've been extremely luck go of things. While not without complications (a dogmatic family for example), my trans experience has been nothing but positive, so expect gushing optimism from me. Living in Denver has certainly helped, great town by the way.     We love it here, though we'll eventually be moving to the DC area.

I'm on the precipice of the final step of my transition, and this site has been a veritable treasure trove of information. I already expressed gratitude, but allow me to reiterate it - thanks.

Not sure what else to include in my intro. I'm typically impulsively motived to register on a site to defend or condemn some such principled thing. This time, I figured I'd begin as an adult without a mission.

It is likely that my partner and I will both be participating under the same handle. She has a unique perspective as not only being ciswoman, but also a staunch, passionate advocate of trans rights. I often joke that she would have been a better at this gender variant thing that I am.

Any questions ? shoot!

Oh, yeah, a movie.... Blazing Saddles?

Ya know, I've seen blazing saddles. Seems like one of those movies that everyone but me, has seen.

Score! I'm sucker for clever dialogue, and therefore, a fan of Tarantino movies.

Welcome Celery! I would recommend your partner get their own account. We have a special spot for significant others, but she's also welcome to post anywhere.  :)

Hi Celery,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Good to hear your transition is so well planned and organised. Gives the inveterate sojourner time to enjoy the ride.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine
