Joe.

Hey guys,
I think I'm FTM but I haven't told anyone other than my best friend and youth group leader. From my avatar, do I still look like a girl or do I kind of look like a boy? I don't want to leave my avatar up for long so any comments would be appreciated please. Be as honest as possible.

I can see some feminine traits and some masculine ones in your face, your shoulders look more feminine than masculine though because they're not very square/broad, but that could just be the way you're sitting.  Your jawline isn't very defined which gives your face a bit of a rounded look, but I would still believe that you were male if you told me, but I might not read you as male at first glance, more confused, or curious whether or not you were trans too.

The only thing I can think of that you can do would be to change the hat -- it looks a little feminine to me -- and stop plucking your eyebrows, unless they're naturally thin like that of course, and then you're stuck with them!

Good luck with working out who you are, and don't stress over it :)

Yeah I think my shoulders is because of the way I'm sat and the pillow, usually when I'm stood up I'm quite tall and broad (I'm 5ft 10) I'm glad I have some masculine traits. Good spot with the hat, it is a girl's one but it's the only one I have that covers my hair so I thought making it black and white might make it more like a boys'. Sadly my eyebrows are naturally that thin. But I guess we can't have everything! Thanks for commenting.

Being that tall will really help you pass if you do decide to transition.
I see a lot of the masculine features in your face, especially your nose.

Definitely seeing some masculinity in your face, though the hat really does defeat a lot of the purpose. Can't really tell your whole body shape from the picture you have up, but your shoulders really do appear quite narrow from that angle.

All in all, I'd like to see more pictures from you in the future. Although from the avatar alone I would classify you as looking more andro than anything, I have a feeling that you could pass without question with just a few little tweaks.

Whether you turn out to be FTM, androgynous, or whatever floats your boat, know that you can find support in many places (obviously here, but in others as well, perhaps). I am always willing to lend a set of understanding ears should you need them.

Well, there's my two cents  :P

I appreciate all your comments, I'll certainly take them into consideration. Hoping to get my hair cut into more of a boy's style so that will help (I hope) As for the time being I have to wear the hat to cover my girlish hair, although apparently from behind I look like a guy :D
