Carolina1983

Hi all.

Lately I have been really bothered because it feels like all the effects of hrt has stopped =(, and I even felt like my face was going towards male again.

Now however it seems like I am going forward (thank god) because it felt really bad for a while there.

I wonder however if its normal to feel this way? or to have a surge in T production?

The thing that worries me most is if hrt wont do more for me. I have seen alot of girls to make a huge progress around the 6-7 month mark.. But as for myself there is no such progress, I still look very male :(. Not much is different with regards to my face.

I feel really bad right now because of this lack of progress =/.

Hi Carolina,

Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down. You may need to check yourself out with your Endo. Could be a number of things affecting the uptake of your HRT program. Depending on how you take your Oestrogen for one.

What form do you take your Oestrogen? Pill, patch, gel, shot, implant? All have varying degrees of effectiveness.

Keep in touch and let us know how you are coping.

Yes I have an appointment with him on the 14th December, but its a looong time until then =/.

I had patches before, and then my doctor suggested that I should try gel, which I did. But it felt like it did nothing for me so I got back to patches again. I have now been on them for about 2 weeks and start to feel again.

I want to use shots intead but first I need to deal with my fear of needles :P.

Thanks I will keep in touch.

And I am glad that I have internet again because its been really lonely without it.

unfortunately if your past puberty HRT will do nothing to change bones and most of our male facial features are the result of the underling bone structure hence FFS.

Anyway you look really pretty in your avatar, I know pictures can lie so i believe you when you say you still look male but you don't have far to go should you choose to have FFS.

Here I am right now. Sorry about the bad lighting but my son is sleeping I dont want to wake him up.

I will need FFS and plan to undergo the surgery in about a year.

The thing is just that it felt like I looked more female about lets say 2 months ago or so :S.

I am not sure if its the 5o clock shadow (it has been more prominent the last month) I think that it is because I have gotten more pale..

One with a little better light.

The things that I need FFS for is brow bossing, nose, chin? I am not sure about that one yet. And possible yaw reduction.

It sucks to be at this point. I felt pretty positive before but now its pretty dark. Hopefully FFS will fix it to the better. Because my body is really sprinting. Its just my face that seems to be stuck :S.

Patches and gels are all dependant on the absorbency of your skin, which varies, dependent on the day, your diet and a plethora of other conditions.

Implants deliver a constant, highly efficient and even delivery of Oestrogen. Even better than shots. And unless you are considering falling pregnant,   there is no need to cycle the delivery of HRT.

Hope the 14th goes well for you.
