What to expect in the first week?

I've been on T for a week now, my second shot is tomorrow. I'm on weekly, not bi-weekly like most I know. Anyway, I've already noticed some... changes. I mean, yes my appetite is up and so is my sex drive, but I expected that. And only that. But now, my voice is doing some very strange things. I was mid conversation with a friend and my voice squeaked/cracked harder than Bobby Brady's. I didn't think that would happen so soon... And I'm wondering if it's a 'placebo effect' type thing. Like, I want it to be quick, so my brain is screwing with me. Also, I physically can't sing my usual high notes anymore. I was wondering if this is common, or not, or wtf. Also, what other joys can I expect this soon, hahaha! I know every case is unique, but it'd be nice to hear other goodies to watch for.
What the hell was that?!                 From every wound there is a scar,
Spaceball 1.                                     and every scar tells a story.
*gasp* They've gone to plaid!        A story that says,
                                                        "I survived."

Don't expect anything in the first week. You shouldn't even expect anything in the first month. Pretty much everything before that is from the placebo effect.
If it makes you feel better to think that changes are already happening, then go for it, but its highly unlikely anything has physically changed yet.

It actually doesn't make me feel better, it's really just freaking me out. Because from everything I've heard, this shouldn't be doing anything. So yeah, a little spooked. And it's not just me, other people are noticing too. Internal stuff I expected, but now people at work are teasing me that I sound like I'm going through puberty. Maybe I'm just getting sick or something? Tis the season, I guess... I really hope I'm just getting sick, hahaha

There is a fairly recent thread on this that you might look up. But, yeah, I started losing high notes pretty quickly.

This isn't the thread I meant, but it does deal with vocal changes. https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,129105.msg1022157.html#msg1022157

Here it is. https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,121207.0.html

I noticed that I was having a difficult time reaching higher notes almost right away, before my voice even really started dropping.  I was doing bi-weekly for the first month or two so my results might be a little different from yours, but another thing I noticed pretty early on was that my muscles felt more dense.

Jeatyn

The same happened to me and I'm certain it wasn't a placebo effect, my junk was bigger almost immediately too and I started getting black hairs on my upper lip

I figured my changes were so quick because I was on estrogen blockers for a long time before starting T, I was really surprised (still am surprised) at the rapid changes because I didn't expect anything at all for a good couple of months.

Physically speaking, you probably won't notice anything in the first week.
Although, I do remember that when I started T the first time, I started my shot the same day that I got my period, and mine usually lasted between four to seven days, but it was literally completely gone the next day...and there was weird goopy...purple stuff o.o; Too much, I know, forgive me >.<;
Regardless, most of the changes you'll notice so soon are the mental and emotional effects.
I know that I was much more confident, much more outgoing, much much happier, and all around feeling awesome,
Of course, that was all just from me knowing that I was on T. But still, I consider those all effects myself.

my second week my voice started like sqeaking sometimes but it didnt actually change. and week one my face was more oily. and sometime during week two, downstairs grew. it was like an overnight thing when i woke up it was noticeably bigger.. and i was definitely not expecting that

Alright, the sex drive/appetite/voice could be changing in a week (I'm a biological male, so I've been there). However, that's about all that can change quickly. Any physical changes aside from that will come SLOW.

Just as a clarification, your voice will START changing early, but don't expect to sound like Morgan Freeman fast. You will probably still have voice cracks for even a year. I've been through puberty for awhile, and my voice still cracks.

My voice cracked a little. That was pretty much it.

it might be a bit placebo but i did find that by the end of the first week my throat felt scratchy but didnt hurt. im guessing the appetite and the sex drive is mostly in your head.

I would be happy to sound like Morgan Freeman in a couple more years...

My sex drive went absolutely nuts on the fifth day. I nearly jumped my therapist. It definitely wasn't placebo for me!
