my name is Alexander Carlos, previously Mia Caroline, and i am a lot of things. i am 22, 5'8", and i don't know what i weigh because i don't weigh myself because i'm recovering from eating disorders. i have brown eyes, white skin, and buzzed hair. i am one of three in a trio of leather trans lovers, with one sub slave, one switch slave, and one switch Master. two of us are recovering from drug addictions, myself included. we all smoke cigars. two of us are genderfluid, one FAAB and one MAAB. i am not in support of the terms "female" or "male." i do not believe in the binary sex system. i am an artist of sound and lyric. i have been on T three months today. i am three months free from drugs and alcohol. i am queer, hardfemme and softbutch. i am spirited. i love people and they frighten me to no end.

Hey Alexander!  Welcome to the forum.  Hopefully whatever wisdom you gain from your friends here will help you on your path.  And hopefully we can be your friends.  I haven't been here long, but I've found this place and the people within it to be great.  Sometimes merely having a place to go to speak your thoughts where people understand can go a long way.

I don't really have any personal experience with substance abuse.  Probably the closest thing for me was compulsive sexual behavior, but I've since gotten control of that.  My boyfriend has a few very close friends who've grappled with that issue, though.  Most are now sober, and I've talked to them quite a bit.

But we do share a few interests.  I'm not really going to go into details here.  If you want to talk about it a little, PM me.
