Yup, 'nother newbie. .w. I'm not sure how much I may end up posting here, but I'm hoping I can meet a few well informed people. I've been coasting the edge of the entire subject of why all of us are on this forum for a few years with limited knowledge on a number of things of the same regard. There's so many questions I wanna ask, but then I'm unsure of where to begin. x.x (That and the panic of asking a question and setting off a triumphant uproar of social justice fire is a scary thought.)

Hi Ark, welcome to Susan's Place! It takes big questions to set off fiery discussions here. Things like "Do you like tennis?" or "What seasonings do you like on fish?" Other than that, we're usually quite civil! See you around, hugs, Devlyn

Welcome to our little family. Over 9051 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another member.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Thanks, both of you. n.n;

People just call me Ark or Arky, so I see no reason why everyone else shouldn't. :3 I'm usually an easy-going sort when life's blues aren't getting me down or I'm not being chipped away at by an FMS flare-up. I spend much of my time chatting it up with good buddies of mine on Skype or just simply playing video games with my boyfriend, Opti. Together, we live -- in a small, fair little town just several miles southwest of lake Erie. Otherwise, I'm drawing artwork and being an over-all neatfreak in a constant effort to maintain the apartment in the wake of our room mate's messiness. I guess that about explains things, unless somebody wants to ask me about something else. .w.

Hi Ark,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Having said that, just try us out with one of your cataclysmic questions and see that the end of the world doesn't come. In a place yours, just try the first question that comes into your head. It's very easy and you'll be surprised at how normal you really are.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Welcome, and please be at your ease.  There are resources and people here at your disposal; all you have to do is ask.  There are no stupid questions...  The really tough ones are the ones we ask ourselves, don't you think?  We're here for you, join the family!
Glad you're here, you should be too.  xo - Holly

Thank you all again. I suppose I get my nervousness of asking questions because of some bad experiences in the past with some VERY militant transfolk and feminists. ._.;;;

I don't know how to really ask this in a formal topic since it's kind of a small thing. (Really, a lot of my questions are small ones I don't see covered on FAQs.) Of course -- direct me to a FAQ if there is one that can answer these things! I'm meaning to ask how one affords the processes of transitioning in gender reassignment. Affording hormones, cosmetic changes, therapist(s), those sort of things. I can't get a straight answer and it's been bothersome.

Welcome to the forums. I may not really be able to answer your questions thought, just wanted to say hi. You seem nice based off your style of typing!

I feel many insurances cover the costs of transitioning, it probably will vary from company to company, and maybe how long you have been with that company.
