Air New Zealand has launched a Christmas promotion which is causing many to take to social media websites to voice their disgust, saying the "joke" is transphobic.

The Grab a Seat website is running a Christmas cracker promotion which gives people the chance to win an array of prizes, those who aren't lucky enough to win instead get a constellation joke. The joke at the centre of all of the backlash reads, "What large heavy ball was responsible for Valerie Adams' gold medal? The Belarusian's left testicle."

The "joke" makes reference to the disgraced Belarusian shot putter, Nadzeya Ostapchuk, who was stripped of her Olympic gold medal following a positive drug test.
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde

Never mind for a moment the transphobic "joke"...I find it disturbing that any business would use "testicle" in any fashion in a public/non-medical context.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...
