I finally got my surgery date Feb 13 2013. I was wondering if anyone that is out in San Fran would be willing to help me after my FFS.  My family disowned me since coming out 2 years ago and I do not have any friends out on the coast. Any help would be great, but if not I understand everybody has their own life. If you feel you can please pm me or email me. Thanks.

Exactly what kind of help are you looking for, you're kinda vague.

Yeah I left it that way because I wasn't sure what anyone would be willing to do. I feel really weird about this since I have never asked anyone for any kind of help. Well here is what I can think of moral support, a drive to the airport, picking up any unforeseen items, helping me post ffs since I figure I would be pretty out of it after the surgery. I am also trying to figure out a place to stay. I was told the cocoon house is no more. I know I can afford a hotel for a bit but not if I would have to stay super long. I am afraid that could happen because I my circumstances. My surgery is ffs and to if possible fix the damage that was done from a sexual assault that was pretty bad. I have no problem providing my info and talking to someone willing to help out so we both feel okay about it. Thanks.

I'd be more than happy to visit you, or hang out/check in with you while you recover, do stuff like run for items you need, but my abode is far away from SF, and where I stay when I'm there is not exactly conducive to recovery (my office in a theater), and I'd give you a ride to the airport except I'm not sure that after surgery that riding on the handlebars of my bicycle would be good for you.  (and everyone I know, really, takes BART to the airport, it's just the way it's done here because you can take it all the way from downtown to the terminal - makes it easy for everyone).  But I work at either 6th and Market or Fillmore and Gerry, so I'm pretty close to - if not in - downtown when I'm there.  Though my hours (I work as a stage tech for rock bands) are highly counter to normal.

Thanks for making me laugh.  Yeah that would not be the best of ideas for me to do unless there is a lazy boy on the handle bars.

QuoteHmm..sounds like we have the same dr.  I am here right now.

Oh your with Dr. O now, congrats! Are you having your surgery now? If you need someone to talk to I can give you my info, I know the pre-surgery jitters pretty well as I am sure you do to. ;)
