Forgive me if this has already been said. I've been reading these forums for about 2 hours now this morning and my attention span is starting to suffer.

When my therapist was trying to figure out where I fit on the transgender scale, she actually mentioned that there are a decent amount of people that choose HRT with no transition. If that's what you want, then it's right, whether anybody else agrees or not.

On the other hand, I've seen several threads on this site showing the before and after of HRT and for the MtF direction (the one I remember because it relates to me), it really is not just breast growth and skin texture. There are a lot of other visible changes that may be more than what you had in mind. Make sure you do your research before you commit.

However, I do think it bears repeating to be careful with hormones. Take them if you want, but I just want you to be informed before doing so, especially if you want to have kids someday. Taking HRT for too long can lead to permanent sterility, for example.

Also, keep in mind that a lot of us try a little "trial run" to see how it feels. I started my trial run a little over two years ago and well.... I'm not quite the "man" I used to be. I don't know if I will ever "transition" but I'm not letting the T come back and I'm not putting down the E.

I also bought a package of six laser sessions for the face and have done two of them so far.  I'm just going with it for now but at some point I'm going to start getting some awkward questions from work and family. My wife and my closest friends know already so I guess that's like having on foot outside of the closet! lol
