Yeah that didn't go so well with my brother.  He knew he had told my sister something and basically forced it out of me mid argument.  This is in the middle of him threatening to kick me out of the house because I have been relying on him and his wife too much without seeming to do much.  He helps and he means well but has issues with temper and communicating.  Who's the crazy one? This has been going on for like the last year and a half since I graduated college.
Anyway I don't think he even comprehended it.  I couldn't sit down and talk and educate him so I think that he now thinks I am gay because that's all he could talk about.
My sister and her partner have offered to let me move down to LA with them.  As much as I love this city I am starting to think that LA might be better for me.  Portland is awesome and accepting but I just can't deal with my brother, the rain and clouds, etc.
Just though I would vent a little bit since I mentioned it.

If the brother was out of the picture, Portland and our weather would look better.  But one has to look out for ones self.  LA has resources and there are parts that are accepting.

A move might be your best bet to get out of a hostile living arrangement.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Thanks Janet.  I want to come back eventually but I just cant get anything accomplished getting yelled at, called names, and told that its the military or homelessness.  Who can?  If my home life is not comforting and welcome the how can my city be?
