So me and my wife were sitting down and we were looking at hair cuts cause I need one badly. After printing them out she looked at my eyebrows and told me I need to shape them cause they arch too much like a woman's and that men have straight eyebrows. Now I know my brows arch but its not insane and all the men ( both my bros and dad) have arched eyebrows but theirs are thicker. She told me it would help me pass, but I have no issue passing. Is this the case? Do men tend to have straight brows? Cause I don't want to do jack with my brows but just let em grow in.

Thanks guys

They do but if your brows naturally grow that way then don't change them. If you shape them, even to make them straighter, you're still doing something men generally don't do (i.e. shape their brows). If you have no problem passing then it isn't even an issue.

how would you get them straighter? mine are straight and thick but theyre average for men.

I've been plucking mine for about 30 years, and I just stopped earlier this year. The regrowth is a bit patchy. Yes, thicker eyebrows help you pass better but you have to work with what you've got. When I used to pluck I would always create a natural-looking arch (similar to yours) but now that I've stopped plucking the bit under the arch has started to fill in nicely. The only bit I pluck now is the bit between the brows, because otherwise I'd have just one brow.

Luckily for me, I have sturdy, thick, Welsh brows. The kind that lash out and catch passing insects & small aeroplanes. ;)

Your brows so you do with them as you wish. My gf starts on me about mine too but because I have a few hairs in each one that grows way longer than the rest. I tell her to stop or I'm going to start nit picking on her flaws, lol.

Thanks guys, I'm just going to leave them and hope they start getting thicker. My lil bros are exactly like mine just a little thicker.

That's what I did to her lol. Then she got quiet. She wants me to be metrosexual and that's not the kind of guy I am.

Not sure if I'd like someone trying to change me, mate. That would just bug me.

Yeah it's annoying, I'm not changing though and if she don't like it oh well. I mean I can't lose myself just to make her happy seeing it took so long to be myself. If she don't like it I know someone out there will. So I just keep doing my business.

Great mindset, dude! That's the way to do it. Either accept you, or get out. That's how I feel. Luckily I have a fiancee that accepts me whichever way I go. He's the only one in my life that's been worth it.

Thanks man! Without that mindset things wouldn't get done, and I wouldn't be able to keep moving forward. I'm glad you have someone that fully supports you and accepts you for you. It's the best feeling knowing that you have someone who has got your back like that.

Exactly! I always feel for people in bad relationships. I've been in a number of them myself and it took a loooong time for me to be able to say, hey, I'm not desperate, and I don't need you, if you can't love me for me then you're out. It is definitely difficult when you love someone, those are the worst situations to get out of. I think I understand the reason why people stay in such abusive relationships, if you love someone it's so hard to admit their faults or admit why the relationship isn't working out...

...Either way, I hope your girl fully accepts you, metrosexual or not, she really shouldn't try to change you. Hopefully she won't any more! :P

Also, good luck on the brows, I personally think my body is mine to take care of, and my partner's is his. Perhaps you might want to think of things that way--or at least, tell her. I know I prefer to be a grizzly, hairy man whereas my fiancee prefers to keep much of his body hairless. To each his own, but if he was telling me to shave he'd have another thing coming. :P
