Uh... I don't get it.  Why in the world would they hire Stanton?  Why would Stanton even try this?  I'm confused.

I think that she's trying to elude things to a point where if she goes to a different city then hopefully by using her new name she can get a job, but thanks to the media, there's too much circulating and if I were her, I would have waited for a few months before trying to apply for a job. I hope that she's got things changed, because as soon as they run her social security, it will pop up with his name instead of hers and that will create more porblems.

Just my two cents worth . . .

It's doubtful that Susan will get the job but it would be wonderful if she does.  Especially since Sarasota is only about 50 miles south of Largo.  Even better would be getting the job and siphoning off the top people in Largo for jobs in Sarasota.

Well, I sincerely wish her the very best of luck.  I really do. In fact, I'd rellish the thought of her going to a nearby city for the same job with a bigger pay check.

I agree with both Beverly and Cindi that it would be nice if Susan were to get a job without running into any problems like employers looking at her background, but more looks at her achievments. Hopefully she'll be able to find some employment who hasn't herad about all the media and will give her a fair chance.

I just saw in today's newspaper the following story:

I remember seeing Susan with her attorney on Larry King Live.  The reason she was applying for the same job again was based on the principal of knowing she can do this job just as well as anyone else if not better.  The gender debate that got her fired is ridiculious and really uncalled for.  I do wish her well on finding another job in another city.  She seems like a very nice and sincere person.  She certainly has many achievements to be proud of.  Hopefully Susan will find a good job soon.

I was just thinking, always a dangerous pastime, that this could provide a face-saving possibility for Largo.

Largo is facing a discrimination lawsuit the size of which could be jaw-dropping.  If they hired Ms. Stanton to replace Mr. Stanton, they might be able to solve the lawsuit problem without looking like they caved it to pressure.

Just my two cents....
