Dirty Dancing bored the hell out of me. But speaking of Brucie boy. Did you know that he is a right wing, conservative supporter? Hmmm? he can kiss my skinny white a**! I boycott all movies that he is in, including Pulp Fiction, which is a classic. But I make an exception for 'The Fifth Element,' because it also stars Milla Jovovich. Meowwrrrrrr!
I personally don't judge a film on it's genre, more on it's quality. Chick flick, shoot 'em up, whatever. I'm more interested in being entertained by good dialogue and character development. Rush Hour was a stunt-filled, violent, over-the-top, shoot 'em up, but Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan were really entertaining, so it was funny, and interesting to watch.
Then you have a film like Gone In 60 Seconds. Who the hell believes that a woman like Angelina Jolie is going to fall for what's his face? The Ghost-Rider guy. He's a putz. He's a good character actor, but he is no action flick hero. He is just not believable in those roles.
The acting and dialogue in that movie were horrendous. 'Eleanor,' the 'Chip Foose' Mustang, was the real star of the movie. But it sucked. A.J. should be ashamed of herself, for agreeing to do that flick.
