Well time to get the zombie suits, the bad jokes and the end of the world wishes ready.

I've just realised that us Aussies are at the end of the world before you Northern Hemis are. So our world stops first because by the time it's 21 December in the North it will be 22 December in the Southern Hemi.

Mmm not sure how that works, we get a day extra? Seems reasonable. More time to max the credit card.

So plans for the big celebration?

What do we do for a Mayan End of the World Party?

Might watch Shaun of the dead, lots of mindless zombies.

Your right Cindy, we do get an extra day than everyone else. Ha Ha Ha Ha. >:-) >:-)
That is unless you live in the past. Oh an I get an extra 30 minutes more than you.  ;D

I think I might be asleep when the world is due to end so please don't wake me as I might be in a bad mood if it does.

Seriously there is about as much change of the world ending as Republicans working with Democrats to sort out dire financial mess the US economy is in.

So long and thanks for all the fish

Think of a new scam to sell stuff for next new year?

Have fun everyone.

Is that going to be a bit like Father Ted, where Craggy Island doesn't have a western side because it 'fell off'? Is the Earth just going to crumble from east to west?

The way I see it, by the time it's the 22nd in Oz the Mayans will already have been proven wrong. Heck, if they couldn't foresee the fall of their own civilisation, they're not likely to be right about ours, are they?

So at 12 noon GMT on the 21st (which is midnight in the easternmost timezone in the world), I plan to LOL in the general direction of the Chicxulub crater.  :)

Yeah, I got the night off, so I'll party like it's 1999 - the last time I can remember the world ending.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

On come on, don't you remember. The sea levels are going to rise by a metre by 2012.

The world's going to end?  ???

That's odd, I don't remember seeing a notice on the bulletin board at work... ;)
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

I have some Year One calenders for sale.  They go one sale on 12/21/2012 at midnight.  Operators will be standing by.  Call 1-888-u-have-been-had.

I did not know Australia was part of this world  ::)

It's not. We just let them think it is. :eusa_shhh:

As for me, I'm going to... wait for it... wait some more... keep waiting... stay in suspense... I'll...

... take a nap.  :P

OMG  I know that station.    Has to be some of Andy's work.  He is just weird enough to do it.

I May answer Cindy's question, but there is a risk it may anger some folks. We may anticipate such a reaction. May an unexpected twist of fate save us.
