This is not trans related but it is border on racial discrimination. I discovered earlier today there's a discoverable WIFI name 'AsianInvasian' from one of my neighbors in the apartment building. There's about 12 units total and 3 units are occupied by Asians including me. I just find it disturbing and childish. This is in a nice suburban area of the city where there's Ivy League college nearby (Washington University in St. Louis) and people are of suburban well-mannered type.

I think I should do something but I need some suggestion. Notifying the landlord might be a good idea but most of them just don't wanna hear problems from tenants. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure it doesn't belong to any of the other Asians?  I'd be sure of that first.

You should change your WiFi name to call them out if it bothers you. How about: Rascist_amongus

Yeah, maybe that was the case I'll find out later when I meet my neighbor.

Thanks Rain you look beautiful by the way. I'm just gonna let it slipped my mind for now to enjoy the Christmas. Happy Holiday to you both!

IMHO it's none of your business what someone calls their WiFi...as long as they don't take action on their beliefs, to do anything would make you look like a no-good self-righteous busybody.

But hey, it's a free country, right?
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

They make it your business when it shows up in the bottom corner of your monitor - that's my opinion.
I ain't scared... I just don't want to mess up my hair.

I'd almost guarantee that is one of the Asian neighbor's WiFi.

...and I agree with Beth. It's something trivial to get up in arms about. My WiFi is called "NoFreeWiFi4U". I have one freeloading neighbor who hates that one, lol.

My money's on that as well. I bet someone is enjoying a little self-deprecating humor. I have Asian friends in L.A. who totally would have done something like this.

This. I live in a predominantly Asian area and even if it was a non-Asian person running the network I doubt anyone would be offended.

Also, this thread put the idea of Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino running a wireless network in my head and it's awesome XD
