Hey everyone, you can call me Kat or Kit. I'm obviously new here and thought an introduction was in order. Well here goes. And don't worry,  don't bite c:

I want to say straight off that I am not one of those people who just wants the best of both worlds when it comes to gender. As you will read and maybe get to know me you will find I just want to try and understand exactly who I feel I really am. I do not want to insult anyone, just try and find people to talk to.

Well. I'm in my 20's and like a lot of people who might come here I'm questioning my gender and sexuality. I did not grow up with my birth family so know almost nothong about my birth, but I feel almost all the time that being female is not who I am inside. Some people dont understand this, and it is a little confusing, but I feel more like I should be intersexed or a hermaphrodite or something of that kind. Like a drag queen in a woman's body. Or a mtf who hasn't had a full operation. I know it sounds odd but its who I feel I am.
Labels are for clothes and towels and making sure you don't leave your luggage at the airport. You dont call clothing a "calvin", its still a pair of jeans. A person is a person. They can be white or black or foreign or straight or gay or in a wheelchair, yet they are still a human being.

Hi Kit,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Don't worry about not being understood here. Understanding is key essential, widely practiced here. However you perceive yourself is OK. After all, we are talking about you. And you are the most important person in that process. Hope you find much to learn about yourself, while you are here.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

You didn't mention that you were an Aussie, that changes things a bit. The shuttle bus will be by shortly to pick you up, you'll be learning english as a second language, and of course you'll have to be branded. It only stings for a week or four. Hugs, Devlyn

Hi Kit,

Good lord!!!! That means there are two of us here

Just wait for the rest of the bus to arrive. There all probably asleep at the moment. Although, SA and WA don't have any excuses on that count.  ;D

What State do you hail from?  I'm a typical Sydneyite.

Hope to hear more of your interesting concept on life.

Be safe, well and happy

Lotsa Huggs
Catherine

P.S. That was our charming Devlyn who cast those endearing comments. She is Australia's Charge deAffairs located in Boston. So if you were an American, wanting to come to the Land of Oz, you'd see her before you boarded the leaky boat  ;D. She still doesn't realise we speak 'Strine' here. That English is too hard. Anyhow, that's our Devlyn. If you want a cup of tea, she has plenty in their harbour. Apparently the Brits left it there, while making a hasty departure, or something.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Well, I speak strine and English, but my fingers don't know the meaning of spelling, hence my errors cx. I feel very welcome here already, thank you all for making me welcome. Hopefullly I can be a good contributor to the family.

After the rush of the next few days of course.

Welcome from a former Bostonian. I was one of the first to steep the tea in the Hahbah (that's harbor for those of you not from Boston). I have since been relocated (exported) to the south and now reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I trust you will be able to share much and learn more from this amazing group of people from every which direction of the spectrum. Grab a comfy seat, you'll be here a long while, and enjoy your ride.
