So today I got a call from my boss. She wanted to see me to "discuss more opportunities" for me within the company. Lovely. So things were racing through my head, some paranoia but whatever.
I get there and they offer me a higher position with more pay and more bonuses... and better yet - much more face to face interaction with customers. Apparently they liked my energy and personality enough to single me out and offer me the position. A position they KNOW I've never done before but are willing to train me to get me there. I think I'll be accepting it
Woo what a resume filler!! It's a tax preparer btw.
Wow... I'm likable enough to be the face of their company in a way. My self-esteem just got boosted half way to the clouds.
The only catch is I have to fill out stuff based on my last tax filing... which has my old name on it. I told them I had a name change and she asked me why... I looked at her with an "oh crap" smile and she simply said "It's personal? That's ok!" I'm filling out the form at home online tomorrow instead of doing it in front of them. They're okay with that.
