The would you rather game reminded me that i wanted to make a post about this.

Quite often I have a nightmare where I have long hair and there's nothing I can do. Going to the barber is impossible and cutting it is just not an option. I'm always in public in the dream and people see me. I literally panic so bad that I wake up in a panic until i realize it didn't I actually happen. It's so weird too, because in the begining of the dream I'll look normal, then all of a sudden I have long hair and there's no way of hiding it.

I was wondering, do any of you have any nightmares about the way you presented in the past; or not being able to pass for some reason, even if its not that way in real life?

Only all the time.

The other day, I had a dream that I met with these people who I had apparently told quite firmly that I was male, but when I met with them, I was wearing a very tight outfit and had long hair. It was embarrassing and frightening. Funny thing is, I'm not even on any therapies yet, and I hardly pass as male in most occasions.

Odd, huh? I'm so soundly sure that I know who I am now that it's a nightmare to be mistaken for someone else. I wonder why that is? I never panicked in dreams where I was male when I was pretty sure I was a lady. Maybe that's because I didn't have the threat of people jeering at me for that... I just have no idea.

It's an odd phenomena.
