I feel the same way, i prefer to use the word confident though. I guess its just the psychological balance T brings on coming into being, i mean after years of hating my appearance and insecurities? yeah its pretty damn great. Congratulations on your progress man  ;D
In the end everything will be okay. If it's not okay, it isn't the end.

I hear ya. I'm well aware my "achievements" don't stack up worth nothing compared to cisguys. It's just seeing that progress that I've been waiting for so long to see that makes me feel a bit full of myself at times. Oddly I think, in terms of lifting, once I get into a more "cismale" range and more average, I won't give any of it a second thought.

And, post the pics bro!

Part of being a guy is the competition amongst your peers.  Whether you choose to partake in it is up to you but everything seems to be in place. Its a macho thing~ some people find it hot.

try fitday.com or calorieking.com
He should also be calculating how much protein he is getting to maintain muscle. The carb values can vary for people who are cutting vs people who are going on a bulk. However, for someone who trying to lose weight, I'd probably consume less carbs because they are the quickest metabolizing form of energy.

Yeah, I agree with this. You can still build muscle while losing weight, just have to make sure to up your protein and keep carbs/sugars and bad fats down. It's always best to get your proteins from natural foods but I eat these bars occasionally after doing weights:

They taste pretty damn good for a protein bar, are filling, have 30g of protein and most importantly low sugar/carb. The only downside is that they use sugar alcohols for the sweetness which, though, significantly lowers the amount of metabolized sugar, the alcohols give some people stomachaches. I've never had an issue with that but I've heard it from others.
