Without the support of students, teachers and the community Hunter says he worries about the well-being of students who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirited, intersex, queer or questioning.

"One in ten students will deal with issues of sexual orientation. There is also a much higher rate of suicide amoung homosexuals," said Hunter.
