2009 really was a cold one,Marton Mere froze over,I wish I could tell you Blackpool's changed for the better since 1980 but it's got worse!

hehe, it's been around 11C here in Northern England and humid and I've been thinking, omg, why is it so unbearably warm at this time of year. I don't know what I would do with myself if I had your sort of climate!

When I lived in Phoenix, it hit 122F (50C).  In a way it was a lot like living in a frigid climate - you go from one temperature controlled environment to another as quickly as possible, and avoid being outside during the peak temperatures.

There's a reason Arizona doesn't go on Day Light Savings Time.  The last thing you want is *more* sunshine.  :D

Kia Ora Cindy,

::) "Whether the weather is cold whether the weather is hot- We will weather the weather whatever the weather-Whether we like it or not !"

::) Here in 'middle earth' [well the part where I live] our weather follows the 'middle-way' neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter...It's just right...

:eusa_think: Finger's crossed XXXX Hope  Aussie does not experience 'deadly' bushfire this season...

Lots of fires in Tasmania, but no loss of life despite the town of Dunalley hardly existing any more.

Answers are easy. It's asking the right questions which is hard.

Be positive in the fact that there is always one person in a worse situation then you.

We had a cool change, dropped to 33C back to 37C tomorrow, Monday 42C.

Tassie hit by big fires, big fire in SA/Vic border. Bad fire in the wine area of Clare. So far no lives but plenty of homes gone.

To be totally honest South Australia and Victoria could go up in flames next week. It is that bad.

Despite the number of fires in Tasmania, Andrea and I are well away from them, and family on the mainland are all okay.  Thanks to all, espaecially Cindy, for their concern.

Karen and Andrea.

Kia Ora,

Heard on the news that there's been some deaths due to the fires in Tassie...They move so fast, people just can't outrun them...I not only feel for the humans but also the poor wildlife and their habitat that gets wiped out...

Still, glad you're both safe...

Looks like another scorcher in OZ for Tuesday. Looking at 45C or about 115F.
Catastrophic fire warnings all over the news today.

Looks like it will be a bad one here.

Perhaps we need that block of ice to sit on!
So long and thanks for all the fish

40C here today.

NSW is going to cop it tomorrow.

So far we have been lucky.

Terrible fires in NSW,
Fires still raging in Tassie in both places people have been evacuated and some are trapped  in the path of the fire fronts with no way out.

My thoughts are with you all.
