I live in South Africa and thus I could get my SRS free tho its some old method that is well no more used lol, I cant afford to just zip off to THailand for FFS and adams apple shave so I will have to put my fate into inexperience surgeons for the smaller surgeries! Quite scary.

And one else got the same the same problems?
Awww no my little kitten gif site is gone :( sad.

well,
I haven't done so myself But I know other transfolks who have :-\.

For my Top surgery I went to germany where they had had alot more experience in transgender patients than in my country, I been happy I did so. One of my friends did not had that option.

Being trans here is pretty hard, theres only 1 place who deal with transgender on a official base and they are known to be the only "experts" even when they threat there patient badly. I am pretty lucky cause I do have some suportive doctors who work behind there bags, and I had some help from my famely to go to germany and get surgery and such things, but not everyone is as lucky as me.
My friends parents did not want him to go to germany for his surgery because it would cost them money and the after being 4 years in the hospital system he now got the permission for surgery for free. (which not everyone dose) even when the result wouldn't be as good as in germany.
a couple of folks where to speak with his parrents to make them use the extra money to go to germany but in the end he did have his surgery at the hospital.
there where 2 parts of it, 1 would be that he wouldnt go agenst his famely he lived with, and maybe they did not have the money? (however I do doubt they had money issues)
another thing is that if he refused and made his surgery in another country insteed, the hospital system could get mad at him (as they dont like people having threatment beside for themself) and they could refuse him in there system.

he said he wanted to spare the money and use them for something ells but I do think those facts put a great role in his decision. he seams satified even when he had to have his surgery twice cause something went wrong the first time, But im scared they did the second surgery cause my biggest worry where if they would not do that if anything went bad.

another ftm I know been in the same situation, he is also depended on the system and been there for 18 years to get permission, now he is about to get the final steps he just got his gender marked changed (which is pretty hard to do) and he is about to get a penis. He had trouble getting accept in belgium where there better, but now his concern is more because he got young kids and he feel its too long to leave them so he is going to have his surgery by the system which I am very worried about.

again I know a third mtf who havent done surgery but is in same situation as you and dont have the money to go to another country for surgery, so she need to go thought this system as the 2 others to try to get there permission for free but with limited experience.
-----------
I thought have you tried to make up some donation things? many transpeople do that to save up for there surgery maybe it could help, or you could see if theres other country with expectise who is less expensive than thailand?

my old friend went refused to have her surgery in norway and she went to sweden to do it, it wasnt a very long trip but the diffrence in result where huge and she told me she was happy she did so.

My problem is I live in South Africa which is pretty far from any good countries for these surgeries :-\ So even if not Thailand it will still quite a bit more cash to get the stuff done.

My first girlfriend was half dutch (Delft) half Afrikaner. So, i learn from her family all about the Boers and the Boer's war.

Some of my ancestors were from Groaning (West Frisians).

It is too bad that the term has become pejorative and loaded with racist connotations. In any case, I love Dutch-decenants-born-in-south-africa people (now, is this better?)

Humm...half white half Indian..I will bet you are gorgeous, eh?

yeah it where why I mention donation as well, but yeah I know its a bit more complicated than here in Europa.
I just never been to thailand so I dont know about the prizes and I just thought maybe there could be something like a big diffrence in prize depending on where you go.
