Hello! ^.^ I hope this is the correct place to post this. :D <3

Well! :D  I was doing some research, and I find the price of SRS and FFS to be very scary.  :-X  As a Marine, I don't make a lot as it is. XD Trying to figure out how to pay for it. It's possible I'm perhaps looking at too expensive surgeons, and could find cheaper ones with just as good results. Looking at like $25,000-$30,000 for both SRS and FFS. I'm currently saving money, but it's for something else. My sister, who just learn about me yesterday (also the first family member), is an amazing Tattoo artist! :D I'm saving for a business she wants to open. That's a different topic, really. :p  But! This would generate an un-calculated (at this time) income. Too early to really determine a debt-to-income ratio. If the business goes well, I may be able to afford the surgery sooner than expected. Though, most places require a year on HRT and electrolysis among several other things, which cost money! Money money money! Once I get out of the Marines, I plan to go to college for a business degree. Then, do bar-tending during the summer. I just can't leave my little sister, but I could risk losing a lot by paying for this business. Or, stand to earn more. Once my date to get out comes closer, I'll be doing more financial research. I won't be taking a break once I get out either. School as soon as possible, work too. No rest! :D

Oh! When I told my sister, she was super cool with it. ^.^  Thankfully!  :D   She said she feels like she's finally starting to get to know me! Woo! :D  Still haven't told my parents, yet.  :-X  Should I tell them now so that they can get use to it? Or, wait until I have results and kind of "do it all at once" thing? My family is kind of a "go big or go home" family. :)  Work hard, play hard.  :D

I'm sorry that I talk a lot!  :-X  Haha, can't help it! I love talking to people.  <3  I originally planned to type more, but I'll save everyone from having to read a book.  :D

Hi SkyCakeLight

Enjoyed that post.

You seem to have discovered the reality of costs of SRS. But may I strongly urge you to get the preparation done first.

Few surgeons will even talk to you until you have done some preparations. Therapy, sort of gate keeping. You gotta get their OK. Medicine, blockers, really important, followed by HRT. Then there's the Real Life Experience, (RLE), this is almost always demanded.

Hi SCL,

Thanks for your service BTW.

It is usually not getting and FFS until after HRT, the face and everything else changes quite a lot. In Australia, where lill old me is, the  recommendation is not to get BA or FFS until 18 months post HRT, just for that reason. It isn't to keep people back but to prevent rather odd looking effects from it.

A few people have ended up with boobs growing on and under BA and faces that change and have to be reformed.
