Hong Kong man castrates himself in attempted home sex change

Media reports described the unfortunate man, surnamed Luk, as good-looking, slender, and pale with shoulder-length hair. He has reportedly enjoyed wearing girls' clothes since childhood, and his desire to become a real woman grew with age. He considered undergoing a gender reassignment surgery, but balked at the complicated procedures involved and his family's objection.
Late one night, Luk was so unhappy about being a man that in the heat of the moment he cut off the end of his penis with a pair of scissors. His subsequent scream woke his father, who immediately called the police and sent him to hospital. Police arrived and thought it was a suicide case until Luk confessed, "I don't want to be a man! I want to be a woman!"
