Hi everyone! I'm a newbie, from the Philippines. I have a unique case as a pre-op MtF Transgender and I cannot find anyone or any resource online who shares the same situation I have. I started my transition back when I was still 19 years old and I got diagnosed with VARICOCELE when I was 23. And now at 29, I'm ready for my SRS...but I'm really bothered about the VARICOCELE, because it's still there and I didn't do anything to it since it's harmless to me.

I could not approach any doctor here in my country for the fear that they will only turn me down because they are conservative (relious-belief related) plus the fact there barely is any expert on Transgender care in this country. I really hope someone out there can shed light on this matter. Be it a doctor or anyone who has the same situation. Please don't hesitate to PM me. Thank you so much!

I doubt your issue (varicose veins in the scrotum basically) would have any bearing on SRS. Hormone therapy will shrink your testes anyway, which should actually help your variicocele, and when you do get SRS, they will only save the scrotal skin, not anything inside of it. So I think you'll be fine. Any SRS surgeon should be happy to confirm this via email. Good luck!
Blessings,

D
