I don't want to sidetrack the thread from our FTM bros on this topic, so I'm going to repost what I said in that thread here, where it's more likely to be seen by those of us who may or may not have found unbidden erections (or other stuff) a trigger to dysphoria.  No right answers here, I'm putting this up in the style of 70's Our Bodies Our (Trans) Selves consciousness raising and sharing and hoping that we will be open and honest about it, without getting rude or disgusting or banhammered. Mods IM me if you're concerned or if this thread is seen as inappropriate... that would never be my intention.

I don't get "wet dreams" that often or whatever you're referring to.

Quote from: Sister EllieI can count on one hand how many of those I've had in over 40 years of T exposure... most were in early adolescence. I think my ex (ciswoman) has had more than I have.

Not wanting to derail this from the joy of FTM wood, but I know that uninvited erections were a great source of dysphoria for me, one that I was open about with my partner, even before coming out to her totally. It really bothered me that she would interpret that physical response as an expression of desire for sex, when it was something I could not control, and I felt it got in the way a great deal with being intimate in a less aggressive and (or me) icky way. Tried many times to discuss it and find ways to keep it out of her assumptions, because it would often lead to her turning away from cuddling that I emotionally wanted and needed so much more than something interpreted as overtly sexual.

Maybe I need to start a separate thread for this, given that it's likely to go somewhere very different than this thread has been? PM me if anyone else wants to discuss this in any detail?
