Interesting Day with Family, funny how things work out?

OK, so I went to church today and originally my mom and a few sisters were going to meet with my cousin, so I did not know anyone was getting together, before you know it practically was the whole family is now coming, within the span of an hour, it went from 4 people to 13 to go to eat at the buffet. I was not even originally invited nor knew about the get together.

Now I'm thinking to myself OH NO, one of my cousins and 2nd cousins are going to come and they know about how I am feeling. I don't actually know who else knows and who doesn't, so i am crapping my pants here. But we all got together my cousin said nothing and it was warm greetings as usual. However one family member was not talking to me and looking at me. Yet here we all were having a good time. But in the back of my mind I am studying everyone, wondering who is going to love me still and who will betray me or shun me. I had a distinct feeling one of my aunts knew as she had a pained look on her face when looking at me also.

Now to top all that off, out of the blue my Dad who i had not seen for 3 years and does not call or write and his wife and brother in law, just happen to be eating at the same time we were. Talk about fate throwing you a curve ball! I am thinking to myself "OMG this could get bad" as my mom and Danny (my bio dad, i had 2 dads) don't get along.

But my dad was all smiles and I guess he does not know anything at all about my issues yet, I haven't told him but I did tell my half sister. So the worst of the worst could have happened, but not this day. No instead he gave me $40 and said "I haven't forgotten about you" apologizing for not writing or calling back. I had just run out of money this day too! I was going to have to sell something to get to eat.

I was thinking, wow God you sure do have a sense of humor, or maybe you just wanted me to have a prequel of things to come? I really can't say but it was sure a strange event, even though very pleasant.

Can't pick your family after all, just do the best you can.

I just can only hope that when everyone knows and sees me 2 years later, they will still want to have a good time.
