Hikaru

Hi I'm Hikaru

I'm new here so heres a little bit about me. I'm currently questioning my gender but think I am FtM.
I know that lots of transgendered people had strong feelings about being trans when they were young but I didn't. I think its because my parents never made me conform to stereotypes so I could act how I wanted to. They let me play with all my brothers toys and dress how I wanted so was often mistaken for a boy.

I haven't told anyone yet but I am slowly starting to make my appearance more masculine and drop subtle hints. Ive got a hair cut soon and then I just need to get a binder.

Hi Hikaru, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 9789 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Hi Hikaru,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hi Hikaru!

Good to meet you! I know that the "always felt this way" narrative can feel isolating to those of us who did not have an expected/normative trajectory into our trans* identity. There are many ways to be trans! :-) So, welcome. Also: I'm scheduled for top surgery soon. I'd be happy to share some of my gently used binders if you're interested.

Best,
Sam
