Thanks Beth Andrea. A couple of friends will be keeping a close eye on me and I think I have seen enough about bad outcomes from SRS to last a life time, but I'm not going to let those things that have a slim chance of occurring get in my way of getting SRS. Almost to the 2 and half month point already which just shows you how quickly it goes by. By all accounts I have heard considering my body and situation that Meltzer is the right surgeon in my situation. I will be staying down there to recover for a bit even after being discharged from the hospital. Hugs

Awesome news, glad everything was looked at + checked out + approved "in triplicate"!

And now....the wait.

Trust me, the time goes by fast the last 3 months. Tip: Don't dwell on the surgery, the stay, the recovery...have a plan in case Anxiety or Fear comes around for a sneak visit.

And don't read any "bad outcomes" on the Interwebz.  ;)

I had my Nephrologist appointment this morning and they sent the letter of to Meltzer's office while I was there. As expected it focused on medication dosages and excludes due to my Chronic Kidney disease. Then before I left the office he tacked on one reminder to me. The other kidney related issue I have is Cystinuria which results in kidney stones. He reminded me that I need to make sure they don't allow the amount of fluid going through my kidney's to drop after the procedure because one of the key pieces to avoiding those stones is that we flush my kidney's out pretty much all the time. So it will be my duty to educate Meltzer and his team when I meet with them the day before my surgery. Wow now only 77 days tell my SRS. I can't wait. I know people have asked if I will keep people informed in regards to my SRS and I will. When the time gets much closer I will create a thread in regards to it. So I no longer have any hurdles left. Now just have to wait for the date to get here. Hugs
