I want to let everyone know, that for a short while I have returned. There are a lot fo you who helped me out quite a bit while I was sturggling during the earliest stages of my transitioning. For those of you that know me, I had changed my name to Mekayla, but now just go by Kayla since there are two others at work and I didn't want to confuse anyone when I came over after transferring. I am an out and proud lesbian at my job through Kmart, but only a select few back home know I'm trans and I prefer it that way. We are very LGBT friendly and the place I've moved to in Ohio a lot of others don't feel they need to hide their sexuality either. I've actually been able to copntact most of my friends from long ago and come out to them as a transsexual lesbian and I have lost no one. It's nice to know I have such amazing friends. One of them actually being an ex girlfriend. I have a wonderful girlfriend that I moved for, so that is a little of my back story. I'm also working on writing my second book, hoping to have my first one released by the end of this year. I'm pretty much an open book and hope to reconnect with the people I used to speak with and meet new as well. Thanks for reading.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Thank you all, and to those that have sent an email, I cannot email you either. Delete my old account. I have personal reasons for which I would appreciate you doing so, thanks. :)

Hi Kayla,

A big Aussie welcome back to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay a while longer.

As you already know there is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

There is nothing like a big Aussie welcome!! I'm not really here to ask questions anymore. I know what my journey entails. I am really coming close to starting a new part of it, and becoming a very outspoken advocate of LGBTQIAP rights. I have the most wonderful people in my life still and I couldn't ask for more than that! And I did pick up a few people along the way who are wonderful as well.

The only things I may ask about is who I get in contact with to be a more vocal part of the community for everyone. I throw no one under the bus like most of the right-wing Republicans do. I will take crap from no one, and neither should any of you! It's 2013 and it is such a shame that we profess as a country, to be so much better than everyone else and treat everyone fairly under the law. But when you look under the microscope-you find us forgotten. It is sad and despicable that we are still fighting this at the state level in over thirty states. Maybe before the end of the year, hopefully everything will change at the federal level, and most states will follow suit. All love is sacred regardless of gender or sexuality.

Hi Kayla,

With an attitude like yours, it comes as no surprise that you are a woman of substance.

I commend you for your stance and encourage your determination.  Your attitude alone will inspire others to the call for action. Let us know of your plans and actions, so we know how best to support you.

Huggs
Catherine
