Kia Ora,

::) There are many cases of people being brought back to life after they had died...One of the most famous [according to biblical scriptures] is a guy called Jesus...

Here's something to go on from our friend Wiki :
" A zombie (Haitian Creole: zonbi; North Mbundu: nzumbe) is an "animated corpse resurrected by mystical means, such as witchcraft". The term is often figuratively applied to describe a hypnotized person bereft of consciousness and self-awareness, yet ambulant and able to respond to surrounding stimuli!"

So the question is do you believe zombies are real ? Have you met one ?

BTW I read somewhere that we are all in a sense zombiefied -in that we function by responding to surrounding stimuli...

They're feasting over in the cannibalism thread now! >:-)

In my spirituality, no.  I believe that others believe it, though, hence why you have the appearance of zombies appearing in different spiritualities such as Voodoo.  I don't believe that those zombies act like the ones in movies as I have never read any document or heard any occurrence of that happening.

Sorry Zenda, garlic only works on vampyres.  And as far as zombies are concerned, go to any major college campus on finals week.  You will seen a ton of zombies.

Kia Ora Aaron,

::) Not a story about zombies but....

I remember as a child my father [who came from Jamaica] told me a story of this old woman who live  alone up in the hills, locals believed she was a witch, well according to the locals she liked donkeys so much that one day she changed into one...It sounds crazy, but he was really serious when telling me this...Voodoo was also practice in Jamaica and from what I gather still is...

Voodoo is still practiced there along with many other Caribbean countries.  It's practiced quite a bit throughout southern Louisiana as well.  Some of the stories I've heard from practitioners have been a bit spooky and the majority were dead serious in what they were speaking.  I personally don't mess with Voodoo and I never will.

Be very careful with honey and garlic.  Werewolves like honey and garlic flavoring.
